A scene from my personal favorite episode of "Itchy & Scratchy," the historical and cinematic allusions are just too clever to ignore.
Scratchy is being led by federal agents (ala Lee Harvey Oswald) the next cut, Itchy emerges from the bottom of the frame and takes a single shot at close range (ala Jack Ruby), whereby the frame freezes and a nondescript voice yells, "Oh God! Get his gun!"
And then Itchy & Scratchy end title screen appears with the familiar cartoon theme song.
(This one barely tops "My Bloody Valentine")
