Death of a Garden Gnome

Nearing his three-year anniversary with our family, Figgleforth the Garden Gnome merged with the infinite last week. I guess the gray composite material he was made up of was not strong enough to weather the elements.

In semi-related news, if you ever have to freshen up the wood chips in your flower bed, I suggest using Scotchman's Brand pine bark chips. If the Scottish are renown for anything, it's their pine-chips.

Figgleforth, Nooooooo!

He's walking on sunshine now, Drew.

Was he related to the Travelocity Gnome, Denouncer of Travel Myths? If so, I'd like a photo op at Figgleforth's funeral. Will he be laid to rest with the remainder of the pine chips? As someone familiar with the various idiosyncrasies of Gnome culture, I would only hope that would be the case.
