Tree Fallin'

Oddly, this was the result after the mild gusts of yesterday's cold-front swept through East Texas:





Now I am burdened with the task of figuring out how exactly to remove the offending limbage without damaging my privacy fence:



I was always fond of that particular tree, and am sad to see it fallen. I believe I will leave the remaining part of the trunk as a memorial to its former glory.



P.S. If you have any suggestions about this situation, please let me know as I am, well, stumped...
