Jim Henson started a muppet show during his college days called "Sam & Friends" that contained a nameless banjo-playing frog. Little more than a filler-character at the time, he would evolve into the most polarizing figure (second, perhaps, only to Pinnochio) in puppet lore.
Man, can he strum that banjo.
